A vision for a Future Ireland

To mark the 100 year anniversary of the 1916 Proclamation Claiming Our Future sought participation from individuals and groups from all over Ireland to help draft a Declaration for a Future Ireland.

This process is now completed and we are delighted to present the final version of the Declaration for a Future Ireland. It includes all submissions made by video or text. In March we presented it to President Michael D. Higgins.

With this Declaration we are presenting an alternative vision for a Future Ireland that we want to make real - based on the values of equality, environmental sustainability, participation, accountability and solidarity. Find out how you can help to promote the Declaration

We also asked groups and people to submit their Future News videos in support of the Declaration. These short videos are set in a Future Ireland in which our Declaration has been implemented.
